Squall
Leonhart is the main character of FFVIII. His personality is withdrawn,
self centered and rather unsociable at times. However he has high ambitions
to become a prime member of SeeD and he follows them diligently. He dislikes
holding any real responsibilities, and simpy paves his path to success
by following orders. Almost always deep in thought, Squall carries many
burdens in his own mind. His lone wolf personality is merely a facade though,
and a meeting with the beautiful Rinoa graduallychanges his perspective
of things over time. He wields the gunblade, a weapon which combines both
sword and gun (as the name implies).
